MEET CHELSEA
Industry Development Manager & Artist Manager
Chelsea Sinnott is the founder of Upstairs Music, a boutique artist management and consultancy firm built on over 15 years of global industry experience. Having established and operated her business across the primary music hubs of Sydney, London, and Berlin, Chelsea returned to Adelaide in 2024, bringing a world-class perspective to the South Australian music ecosystem.
Her expertise spans the full lifecycle of an artist’s career, with deep roots in artist development, publishing, and label and release strategy. Beyond management, Chelsea is a seasoned event producer and tour manager with extensive experience booking and executing tours on a global scale for artists such as Nathan Ball, PEPTALK, Benedict Cork, and Kerala Dust. Throughout her career—which includes a tenure as Export Development Officer for Sounds Australia—she has remained a tireless champion for arts workers and musicians.
Most recently, as the Music Industry Development Manager at Music SA, Chelsea spearheaded strategic initiatives to reinvigorate the state’s music sector, including the landmark Mount Gambier Live Music Activation Project. This year-long initiative successfully revitalised the Limestone Coast’s live music scene, building sustainable infrastructure and connectivity between regional venues and national touring circuits. Chelsea is a firm believer that the future of the industry lies in a community of shared resources, and she is dedicated to building the transparent, sustainable pathways required to showcase South Australian talent on a global stage.
